Log A Dispute - Step 1
You confirm that you are the consumer to whom this submission relates, for the purpose of investigating your request. If you are a third party, you confirm that you have a legitimate interest, as well as a valid Power of Attorney to contact us on behalf of the consumer.
You recognise that DCB may collect and process the personal data that is submitted to us, for the intended purpose of this request, which will be executed in terms of our privacy notice, and in full compliance with applicable legislation.
You recognise that there are several registered credit bureaus in South Africa that each operate independently and that hold your personal data, which is submitted to us by your credit and service providers where you have opened accounts. As your credit and service providers are the source of the data, they need to be contacted for paid-up or settlement letters and to correct your details before you dispute your accounts with us.
You recognise that to effectively assist you with your request you will log each enquiry, relating to independent account(s) on your credit profile, as separate submission onto this portal. You will receive a unique reference number for each enquiry that is submitted and each account will therefore be handled and resolved separately.
You recognise that if an account was settled within the last calendar 59 days it is the responsibility of your credit or service provider to update the status of the account. If they failed to do so by the time the 59 calendar days have lapsed you can dispute it with us.
You recognise that even though we take all reasonable steps to verify the accuracy of the data that is submitted to us, we reserve the right to request more details and supporting documents from you to help us to resolve your request. If you provide us with incorrect or insufficient information, it may cause delays or result in a non-submission.
